Caesars Interactive Entertainment has launched its real money online poker platform,, in the US state of Nevada, becoming the second fully-licensed online poker site in the US following the launch of Ultimate Poker. launched on September 20 with online gambling giant, 888 Holdings, providing the software and gaming platform, just as it is scheduled to do for Caesars’ properties in Atlantic City, once the interactive market launches towards the end of the year.

Caesars activated the launch by promoting the WSOP Online Championships, which will run across nine events before an ‘Online Nine’ final in November in conjunction with the WSOP main event.

“This is a historic moment for our company,” said Caesars Chief Executive Officer, Mitch Garber. “A state-of-the- art poker offering from one of the most established and regulated operators in the United States is finally here. We have . taken the 43-year-old World Series of Poker brand and combined it with the Caesars.
